On 10 December, the Institute of Water Issues, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan hosted the opening of a joint environmental laboratory equipped with advanced technologies for environmental monitoring and big data processing.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, academician Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht, representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, and the company Hebei Sailhero Environmental Protection.

It was noted that the laboratory’s modern equipment was supplied as part of joint cooperation with the support of Chinese governmental institutions and Hebei Sailhero. The new technologies will serve for environmental monitoring, quality assessment of natural resources and analysis of their efficient use.

The establishment of this laboratory creates new opportunities for strengthening scientific collaboration between Tajikistan and China. Researchers from both countries will be able to conduct joint studies in the fields of ecology and energy, exchange scientific expertise and bring their research to the international level.

The opening of the laboratory marks an important milestone in advancing scientific and technological cooperation between the two nations. The facility introduces equipment that has been brought to Tajikistan for the first time, enabling advanced environmental research and large-scale data analysis.

The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art systems, including:
– a multiparameter water quality analyzer;
– a portable multiparameter water tester P-MP1000;
– the network-based air quality monitoring device XHAQSN-822.

These instruments will be used for environmental monitoring, ecological data collection and processing, and joint scientific and technological research.
