The UNCCD Interregional Group “Central Asia – Russia” (IRG) was established under the framework of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. It is the result of a joint agreement and shared vision of six participating countries:
The Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This platform serves as a unique regional mechanism for fostering dialogue, promoting knowledge exchange, and enhancing cooperation in addressing land degradation, desertification, and drought resilience in the region.
By joining the Interregional Group, your organization becomes part of a collaborative effort aimed at sustainable land management, climate adaptation, and regional solidarity.

Access to shared resources, regional data, project collaboration opportunities, and capacity-building tools.
