The Interregional Working Group (IRG) serves as a collaborative platform for addressing critical environmental and socio-economic challenges in Central Asia. It brings together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions in areas such as land degradation, climate change adaptation, water resource management, and migration dynamics. The IRG focuses on fostering regional cooperation, sharing best practices, and promoting innovative approaches to land restoration, drought mitigation, and sustainable rangeland management.

Through interdisciplinary research and policy dialogue, the IRG aims to enhance resilience against environmental threats and support sustainable economic development. By integrating science-based solutions with local expertise, the IRG contributes to achieving Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and strengthening the region’s capacity to adapt to climate challenges while ensuring the well-being of communities and ecosystems.
