Samarkand to Host One of Central Asia’s Largest Green Tech Exhibitions — Eco Expo Central Asia 2026

From May 31 to June 5, 2026, the international environmental technology exhibition Eco Expo Central Asia 2026 will take place at the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex. The event will be held in parallel with the VIII Assembly of the Global Environment Facility, ensuring a high level of international participation and elevating its global significance.
The exhibition is set to become one of the largest platforms in Central Asia, bringing together leading global companies, innovative startups, government bodies, and international organizations working in the field of ecology and sustainable development. Participation from over 180 countries is expected, creating extensive opportunities for knowledge exchange, showcasing advanced solutions, and building new partnerships.
The main objective of the event is the promotion of green technologies, stimulation of investment in environmental projects, and strengthening of international cooperation in environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
The exhibition will cover a wide range of areas, including renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, water-saving technologies, waste management, ecotourism, smart cities, and the application of artificial intelligence in environmental solutions. The program will also feature thematic zones, demonstration sites, startup spaces, and interactive installations.
Special emphasis will be placed on practical engagement among participants. The agenda includes business sessions, expert discussions, and negotiations in B2B, B2G, and B2C formats, as well as the signing of agreements and presentations of investment projects.
Dedicated platforms will be provided for the regions of Uzbekistan to present ongoing and перспективные environmental initiatives aimed at improving ecological conditions and ensuring sustainable regional development.
Leading international organizations will also participate, including UNEP, UNECE, FAO, the Global Environment Facility, the Global Green Growth Institute, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, the Climate Security Mechanism, and the Ramsar Convention. Their involvement will facilitate knowledge exchange and the promotion of best practices in sustainable development, climate adaptation, and natural resource management.
Holding the exhibition alongside the GEF Assembly will enhance synergy between global environmental agendas and regional initiatives, while also drawing additional international attention to environmental reforms and projects being implemented in Uzbekistan.
