Cognitive Pilot has introduced Cognitive Terra Sense, Russia’s first robot for rapid soil analysis, designed to provide real-time data on the physical and chemical properties of soil.

Until now, Russian farms faced challenges in obtaining fast and accurate soil data, which is essential for precision fertilization. Deficiency of micronutrients reduces soil fertility and harms plant growth, while overuse of fertilizers lowers effectiveness and hampers root development.

The Cognitive Terra Sense allows farmers to apply fertilizers only where needed and in optimal doses, enabling savings of up to 20–25% of costly inputs while increasing yields. The system also monitors soil moisture, density, and acidity, directly enhancing crop performance.

Field trials were conducted across eight regions, including Belgorod, Tambov, and Siberia. The robot is manufactured at Russia’s first robotic factory, a division of Cognitive Pilot in Tomsk. Cognitive Terra Sense will soon be showcased at the “Yug-Agro” exhibition.
