President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Soil Protection”, aimed at regulating the conservation, restoration, and sustainable use of soil resources, as well as strengthening the legal framework for their protection.
In addition, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Soil Protection, Land Relations, and the Agro-Industrial Complex”, which introduces amendments to national legislation to support the implementation of the new Soil Protection Law.
The adoption of the legislation establishes a comprehensive legal framework for the conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of soil resources. It also strengthens Kazakhstan’s policy on soil protection and promotes the sustainable use of land resources in line with the country's environmental and agricultural priorities.
