International Forum “Ecology” Opens in Moscow with Focus on National Project “Environmental Well-being”

June 5, Moscow — On the occasion of World Environment Day, the International Forum “Ecology” opened at the Digital Business Space in Moscow. The event is being held on June 5–6, bringing together over 270 experts from Russia and abroad to discuss pressing issues in environmental policy and sustainable development.

The central theme of the forum is the launch of the new national project “Environmental Well-being.” The forum began with a plenary session titled “Multiplying Results: Synergy of Government, Business, and Society”, featuring representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, Ministry of Agriculture, State Duma, State Corporation Rosatom, the Talent and Success Foundation, and delegations from 62 regions of Russia.

The international session titled “The Principle of Non-Locality” includes participation from representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Angola, Turkey, and Rwanda.

On June 6, special sessions will be held on waste management, the use of space technologies for environmental protection, and new approaches to integrated environmental permitting (IEP).
