The Cleantech Days 2025 forum is being held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from September 1–5, 2025. Co-organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), TÜBİTAK, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the event serves as the annual flagship platform of UNIDO’s Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP), supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
Over the years, Cleantech Days has grown into a hub where clean technology entrepreneurs, MSMEs, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers come together to showcase solutions, share expertise, and forge partnerships for sustainable industrial development.
This year’s edition gathers over 150 participants representing startups, national project teams, government agencies, academia, and the private sector. The program includes policy dialogues, thematic discussions, peer learning sessions, and networking opportunities to strengthen cooperation in renewable energy, innovation, and sustainability.
A key highlight of Cleantech Days 2025 is its focus on inclusive growth, particularly supporting women-, youth-, and migrant-led MSMEs and startups. The event takes place in the framework of the M-MPTF-funded Joint Programme on “Supporting Migrants’ Inclusion in Türkiye’s Transition to a Green Economy”, implemented by UNIDO, IOM, and TÜBİTAK.
By being hosted in Istanbul, a city bridging continents, this year’s forum also emphasizes regional cooperation, opening new avenues for collaboration, including potential joint initiatives with the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
