Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, has launched the inaugural international exhibition of environmental technologies — Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 — the largest event of its kind ever held in Central Asia. Gathering participants from over 30 countries, the exhibition opened its doors from June 19 to 21 at the Central Asian Expo (CAEx) center, becoming a leading regional platform for showcasing innovations, exchanging best practices, and advancing sustainable solutions in ecology and the green economy.

The opening ceremony was attended by high-level representatives from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Korea, international organizations, and UN agencies. Uzbekistan’s Minister of Ecology, Aziz Abdukhakimov, emphasized:
"This exhibition is more than a showcase of technologies — it is a platform for interregional and international cooperation. Uzbekistan is ready to become the driving force for promoting environmental solutions in Central Asia."

The event is held within the framework of the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy, proclaimed at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. For the first time in the region, a dedicated platform has been established to bring together experts, companies, startups, and government entities.

The exhibition covers a wide range of topics including climate resilience, green energy, water conservation, digital technologies, and climate finance. More than 20 international organizations and leading companies presented their solutions, with participants from France, Japan, Germany, China, India, the UAE, Kazakhstan, and other countries.

The program features over 35 events — including panel discussions, presentations, master classes, exhibitions, and the signing of agreements on environmental projects.

Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 highlights the region’s growing role in the global environmental agenda and sets a course toward a sustainable future through innovation and international collaboration.
