Ashgabat, May 13–15, 2025 — The 7th Central Asian Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2025) was held in Ashgabat, bringing together over 200 participants, including representatives of governments and parliaments from Central Asian countries, international organizations, the scientific community, financial institutions, and civil society.
This year, the main focus of the conference was on mobilizing climate finance to support the implementation of national and regional climate actions. Participants discussed the implementation of outcomes from the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), as well as preparations for the upcoming COP30.
Special attention was given to assessing the region’s progress in developing National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and the next generation of Updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs 3.0).
CACCC-2025 also served as a key platform for formulating approaches to the strategic and equitable allocation of climate finance, in alignment with the emerging global climate architecture.
