Uzbekistan and Mongolia Establish Comprehensive Partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, June 24, 2025 — Following high-level talks in Ulaanbaatar between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the two leaders signed a Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Comprehensive Partnership Relations, marking a significant milestone in the development of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
In the presence of both heads of state, a substantial package of bilateral agreements was also signed, covering a broad range of cooperation areas, including:

Plant quarantine and protection

Higher education
-
Mining industry
-
Environmental protection
-
Healthcare and medical science
-
Physical culture and sports
-
Crime prevention and control
A Protocol on Cooperation between the National Archives Agencies was signed, reflecting the mutual interest in expanding humanitarian and historical-documentary ties.
Of particular importance are the interagency cooperation programs, including:

A cooperation plan between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2026–2027

An agreement between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Mongolia’s Ministry of Economy and Development
-
And a cultural cooperation program between the Ministries of Culture of both countries for 2025–2028
Agricultural cooperation is highlighted among the priorities, with a joint action plan signed to expand the partnership in the field of agriculture.
Additionally, an Action Plan on the Development of Ecotourism was adopted between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change and Mongolia’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth.
The agreements reached reaffirm the shared commitment of both countries to deepen multifaceted partnership and strengthen the friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
