Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, held a meeting with Mr. Donal Brown, Vice President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and IFAD, as well as key directions for its further development.
Special attention was paid to attracting investment in agriculture, promoting sustainable rural development, and introducing innovative and digital approaches to enhance the efficiency of the agricultural sector.
Minister Abdurakhmonov emphasized IFAD’s significant contribution to advancing rural development projects and improving farmers’ livelihoods. Mr. Brown reaffirmed IFAD’s commitment to expanding joint initiatives and sharing best practices focused on sustainability and food security.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation and implementing new projects aimed at achieving sustainable growth and resilience in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
