Dushanbe will host a meeting of the Regional Agricultural Council for Europe and Central Asia, bringing together government representatives, international organizations, and agricultural development experts.

Preparations for the event were discussed by Tajikistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Kurbon Hakimzoda, and FAO Deputy Director-General Maurizio Martina.

The meeting will serve as a platform to exchange experiences and develop coordinated actions aimed at strengthening food security, adapting agriculture to climate change, and promoting sustainable farming practices.

Special attention will be given to digital innovation in agriculture, efficient water management, and sustainable land-use strategies.

Minister Hakimzoda emphasized that hosting the Council in Dushanbe marks an important step toward enhancing regional cooperation and reinforcing Tajikistan’s role as an active contributor to global agricultural dialogue.
