Kyrgyzstan Discusses Draft Regulation on Pasture Monitoring and Evaluation

A working meeting was held in Kyrgyzstan to develop a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers titled "On the Approval of the Procedure for Monitoring and Evaluation of Pastures at the Local Level," according to the Ministry of Agriculture's press service.

The discussion involved representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the public foundation CAMP Alatoo, who shared recommendations aimed at promoting sustainable pasture management, maintaining ecological balance, and increasing the efficiency of land use.

The main goal of the initiative is to improve mechanisms for the rational use of pastures while taking into account the interests of local communities.

The participants addressed issues such as data collection and analysis, regular monitoring of pasture ecosystems, and the potential impacts of climate change.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to continue refining the draft resolution based on the suggestions received and to organize a broad public discussion.
