Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Strengthen Cooperation in Natural Resources and Industry

On August 25, 2025, the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, M. Mashiev, received a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan led by First Deputy Prime Minister H. Kholikzada.

During the meeting, Minister Mashiev welcomed the guests, outlined the activities of his ministry, and highlighted the positive results of cooperation with Tajikistan’s Ministry of Ecology. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations to promote sustainable development.

H. Kholikzada underlined the productive nature of the visit, the positive dynamics in bilateral relations, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception.

Deputy Minister and Director of the Kyrgyz Geological Service, M. Zhusupbekov, delivered a presentation on the potential of Kyrgyzstan’s mining industry and its most promising deposits.

The Minister of Industry of Tajikistan, Sh. Kabir, stressed the need to accelerate the signing of a cooperation memorandum and showed interest in exchanging experience in the mining sector. In response, Minister Mashiev elaborated on opportunities in gold mining and proposed organizing meetings between major companies from both countries.

As a result of the talks, the two sides confirmed their readiness to further develop partnerships and jointly implement promising projects.
