On July 16, 2025, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev, met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan, Ms. Sarango Radnaaragcha.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of bilateral cooperation in environmental protection, climate action, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Special attention was given to the preparations for the Central Asia Regional Environmental Summit, scheduled for 2026 with support from the United Nations.
Minister Nysanbayev congratulated Ms. Radnaaragcha on her official appointment and expressed Kazakhstan’s strong commitment to deepening cooperation with the UN system in advancing sustainable development both nationally and regionally.
