Kazakhstan and Poland Strengthen Environmental Partnership

Astana, June 27, 2025Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev, held a meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland, Michal Labenda. The meeting took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the high level of political dialogue and growing cooperation between the two countries.

During the discussion, the parties addressed the “Taza Kazakhstan” environmental initiative, launched by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The initiative aims to promote a culture of environmental responsibility among citizens and encourage public participation in addressing ecological challenges. Minister Nysanbayev briefed the Polish side on the activities carried out within this framework.

Michal Labenda expressed interest in supporting the initiative and proposed organizing a tree-planting event in Astana. The proposal was welcomed by the Kazakh side, with Minister Nysanbayev affirming readiness for further collaboration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed confidence that the development of environmental cooperation would contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and advancing shared environmental goals.
