On 21 September 2026 in Seoul, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) signed a Host Country Agreement establishing the Institute’s status in Kazakhstan.
GGGI brings together 55 member states and implements programmes in more than 57 countries. Kazakhstan became a member of the Institute in 2022.
The Agreement defines GGGI’s legal status in Kazakhstan and enables the organization to operate directly in the country. It is expected to expand support for government bodies, facilitate the systematic development of specific projects and help attract investment.
The partnership aims to bring in expertise, technology and investment to support Kazakhstan’s transition to a green economy and deliver practical economic and environmental results.
