M. Mashiev, Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, held a bilateral meeting with O. Guchgeldyev, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Kyrgyz Republic, to review past cooperation and outline future collaboration.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of joint activities in 2025 and agreed on cooperation plans for 2026, building on existing partnerships in the environmental and climate sectors.
The sides confirmed key priority areas of cooperation, including the mountain and climate agenda, reforestation, and sustainable natural resource management. The importance of integrated and science-based approaches to ecosystem conservation and climate adaptation, particularly in mountainous regions, was emphasized.
The meeting also highlighted the need to strengthen institutional cooperation, support national and regional environmental initiatives, and continue joint efforts within ongoing and planned FAO-supported projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
