As the impacts of climate change become increasingly evident, Kazakhstan is taking proactive steps to strengthen the resilience of its key sectors and communities. To this end, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kazakhstan, has launched a series of educational seminars on climate adaptation.
The program is designed for government officials, representatives of NGOs, university faculty, climate experts, as well as professionals from the following sectors:
Agriculture
Water resources management
Forestry
Emergency management
During the group sessions with sectoral experts, participants will explore the national methodology for climate risk assessment and its application in planning and implementing adaptation measures.
The seminars also emphasize practical training — from identifying climate risks and analyzing vulnerabilities to designing effective adaptation solutions.
Interactive sessions will ensure that participants not only acquire new knowledge but also strengthen the skills needed for their daily work.
