Cooperation Agreement Signed Between the Institute of Geography RAS and the University of Banja Luka

During the international expert meeting, it was announced that a cooperation agreement has been signed between the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The agreement is aimed at strengthening scientific and educational cooperation, including researcher exchange, involvement of young professionals, and implementation of joint projects.

Particular attention will be given to issues of desertification, land degradation, and drought, taking into account regional specifics. It was noted that drought is a more pressing issue for Bosnia and Herzegovina, creating additional opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaborative research.

The agreement establishes an open platform for international cooperation, allowing other countries to join. It предусматривает активное вовлечение academics, researchers, and young professionals in joint educational and scientific initiatives.

In the long term, the parties aim to expand cooperation toward the creation of a broader Eurasian platform for studying environmental processes and developing joint solutions.
