On August 26, within the framework of the “China – Central Asia” Summit, an international scientific conference on innovations and cooperation in the reclamation of saline and alkaline soils was held in the People’s Republic of China.
The event served as a platform to exchange knowledge and foster scientific collaboration between China and the countries of Central Asia. Key topics included sustainable use of soil resources, regional environmental improvement, food security, and long-term stability.
Participants emphasized the importance of joint research in addressing land degradation, which remains one of the major environmental challenges in Central Asia.
It is worth noting that in 2023, the Central Asian Agricultural Research Center was established under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Within this cooperation, young Tajik scientists are already conducting studies in various fields of agriculture.
